Adobe, Canon, Nikon reduce workforce due to softening markets
The economic crisis is taking its toll on Canon, Nikon and Adobe. They have all announced or implemented reductions to their workforces in the light of softening demand for their products. 600 workers at Adobe will be laid off due to the lower-than-expected sales of its Creative Suite 4 applications, while Canon (1100 contract workers) and Nikon (1500 sub-contract workers) are being cut.
