If you have ever been concerned about your photos being used without your consent, you've probably searched the Web by using keywords or EXIF data. Now there is a new image-search option that looks for visual matches. You upload an original image to this search engine, called TinEye, and it looks for other images with matching pixel patterns. There is a lot of Internet out there, and TinEye has indexed only a tiny fraction of it so far. So the chances are slim that it will make a correct match for many images. But it sounds like this is definitely worth watching. Request an invitation, it's free. Check out the video at their site for a demo.
